How do I use PPTools?
You can download demos and purchase PPTools on our download page.
Here are a few tips that'll help you begin using PPTools.
- When you start PowerPoint after installing a PPTool, you'll see your new toolbar in the middle of the PowerPoint window. You can drag and dock it at the edge of the PPT screen or to the toolbar at the top just like PowerPoint's own toolbars.
- Click the RnR PPTools Settings button (the guy's head icon) on the Master toolbar to see the Preferences dialog box.
To show or hide a PPTool, click its name then click "Visible". Even though a tool is invisible, you can still use it from the PPTools item on the main menu bar. - To load or unload a PPTool, click "Active". That unloads the tool from memory and makes it incaccessible until you re-activate it. The fewer active toolbars, the faster PowerPoint starts up.
- You can also set the toolbar buttons to appear as icons, text or both. It's handy to change them to Text until you know what they all do.
- You can also enable or disable Expert mode. Normally, Expert mode is off and PPTools displays messages when you do something in a way it doesn't expect. The messages explain what it's unhappy about and what you should do differerently. Once you get the hang of it, you'll want to turn Expert mode on -- then PPTools just makes a sound rather than displaying messages, so it's a little faster to work with.
